When Life in Codes launched the Work Evolution Summit in 2024, the conversation about how work was changing was happening everywhere and nowhere in particular. Two years later, that has changed. Reaching a third edition marks the moment the Summit stops being a new event and becomes a category reference — the annual gathering point in Central and Eastern Europe for C-level executives, IT and project managers, product owners, and Atlassian practitioners looking for concrete answers rather than predictions.
The 2026 agenda follows four themes that map the full scope of how organisations are rebuilding their operations: Intelligent Service Experience, Teamwork and AI Agents, Connected Knowledge, and Strategy and Execution. Each theme stands on its own, yet the centre of gravity this year lands firmly on AI. For Life in Codes, the shift is already visible in client engagements. AI agents today are taking over the repetitive, context-gathering, and first-draft layer of knowledge work — summarising tickets, drafting responses, searching across knowledge bases, generating initial code, connecting information that used to live in silos. In the teams Life in Codes works with, this can represent between 20 and 40 percent of the time previously spent on routine tasks. But the company cautions against reading that figure as a replacement metric. The organisations seeing the strongest gains are not the ones automating the highest percentage of tasks — they are the ones redesigning workflows so that humans and AI agents hand off to each other naturally, freeing human time for judgment, decisions, relationships and creativity.
That redesign, Life in Codes argues, is also why the idea of AI running without human oversight remains a myth. AI agents need context, governance, and continuous calibration: someone has to decide what an agent is allowed to do, what data it can access, how its output is reviewed, and how its success is measured. As the technology becomes easier to deploy, the human discipline of governing it is becoming more important, not less — a new function emerging somewhere between IT, operations, and team leadership.
When the governance is in place and the measurement is honest, productivity gains in the range of 20 to 35 percent on specific workflows — service desks, software delivery, knowledge retrieval, reporting — are credible and repeatable. Without measurement, companies deploy the tool, feel busier, and conclude nothing has changed. Closing that gap is precisely the theme the Summit will tackle on its main stage.

His session focuses on the decisions teams can make before they write a single prompt, the friction that appears in week two rather than week one, and how to connect AI activity to outcomes leadership actually cares about: delivery speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
